Ambassador Cruise Line will host the 2024 Advantage Latitude Cruise Conference in Amsterdam this October, the consortium has revealed.
The event will be held onboard Ambassador’s Ambience in the Dutch capital over 24-27 October, and will feature business sessions and a supplier showcase, as well as expert panels.
Supplier partners representing the ocean, river and expedition cruise sectors will be on-hand to support agents keen to grow their cruise business.
A key area of focus for the conference will be how delegates can attract a new generation of cruise guests and drive growth throughout the sector after passenger volumes rise to their highest level ever last year – 31.7 million – and with global cruise capacity forecast to grow by 10% to 745,000 ship berths by 2028.
Advantage senior commercial manager – cruise, Jonny Peat, revealed it would be the first Latitude conference to sail from Tilbury, giving members the opportunity to cruise ex-UK.
"By having our cruise conferences onboard a cruise ship, our members can put themselves in the shoes of their customers and capitalise on the opportunity to experience first-hand what the host cruise line has to offer," added Peat.
The three-night itinerary will also allow delegates to explore Amsterdam famous waterways, its historical attractions, artistic heritage and cosmopolitan culture.
Ambassador divisional sales manager Louise Tansey said it was an honour to host the event as it looks to work "even more closely" with the trade this year to highlight its no-fly cruise offering, which she said was growing ever-more popular.
Registration is open now, with Latitude members benefiting from a reduced rate of £75pp sharing and £150pp for single cabin occupancy.
