Regent Seven Seas has expanded its trade sales team with the appointment of Harriet Smith in the role of business development support.
Smith, who spent 16 months at Regent’s parent Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, joins the business development team led by Ed Lang, director of strategic accounts and business development.
In her position, Smith will “re-engage” with agents that have historically worked with Regent as well as work closely with existing agents. She will report into Caroline Moody, the line’s business development manager.
The expanded team sits alongside the ultra-luxury line’s strategic accounts team, giving a “comprehensive partnered approach that aims to maximise growth and support for agents”, Regent said.
Paul Beale, Regent’s UK sales vice-president, said: “Having earned her cruising stripes working in reservations for Norwegian Cruise Line, following a career working with luxury fashion brands, Harriet embodies the blend of cruise and luxury goods experience that aligns perfectly with Regent.”
Smith added: “My diverse luxury experience combined with my experience in cruise reservations, gives me a unique perspective on what guests are seeking when booking a luxury cruise.
"I am excited to share this perspective and unique outlook to support our partners in growing their business.”
