Royal Caribbean has confirmed Liberty of the Seas will sail ex-Southampton in summer 2026.
Liberty will operate a range of two- to nine-night voyages from Southampton, including a solar eclipse itinerary in August.
The programme will take in Norway’s fjords, medieval Bruges and cosmopolitan Copenhagen, among other highlights.
The 1,899 stateroom ship entered service in 2007 and was refurbished in 2016.
Its deployment in Southampton was revealed as part of a wider summer 2026 launch, when five Royal ships will be stationed in Europe. Bookings are open now.
Liberty will replace Independence of the Seas, which will return to sail ex-Southampton next summer after a six-year absence.
This summer, Anthem of the Seas homeported in Southampton from May through to October.
Elsewhere, Harmony of the Seas will sail from Barcelona during summer 2026, Odyssey of the Seas from Rome (Civitavecchia) and Explorer of the Seas from Ravenna.
Brilliance of the Seas, meanwhile, will operate cruises from Athens (Piraeus), Rome, Ravenna and Barcelona.
