EasyJet holidays has put on sale thousands of new packages from Southend airport following the new base’s launch.
The tour operator revealed on Friday (17 May) holidays to the likes of Gran Canaria, Pisa, Dalaman, Antalya, Marrakech and Enfidha will be available seven days a week from 1 May 2025, further complementing easyJet holidays’ summer programme.
“We are delighted to be offering new destinations and thousands more package holidays for customers in and around the surrounding areas of Southend for summer 2025, with many more destinations to come later in the year to give even more choice,” said chief commercial officer Paul Bixby.
“We’ve got thousands of hotels to choose from, at prices to suit all budgets, so we’re looking forward to seeing what’s popular, and delivering even more brilliant holiday experiences,” Bixby added.
The announcement comes a day after easyJet announced Southend as its 10th base with three 186-seat A320 neo aircraft assigned to the Essex airport following a strong customer demand for package holidays.
In the six months to 31 March 2024, the tour operator recorded £146 million net cash due to a 42% customer growth. Meanwhile the airline managed to trim its losses by 12% to £350 million.
