EasyJet will launch flights to Cape Verde next summer – its first sub-Saharan route – with easyJet holidays offering packages to the West African islands.
The airline will operate to the island of Sal from Gatwick on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, starting from 31 March next year.
The flying time of around six hours will place it among the longest routes on the easyJet network.
Flights will depart Gatwick at 10am, arriving at 2.15pm. The return leaves at 3.05pm and is scheduled to arrive at 10.55pm.
EasyJet’s timetable currently shows the route as summer-only, although Cape Verde – where Tui is a big player – is best known as a winter sun destination.
easyJet holidays is asking agents to make a Cape Verde or summer 2026 booking for the chance to win a place on its inaugural fam trip to the island destination. Enter now!
