What is My Booking Rewards?

We’re open to all travel agents globally and we are a particularly useful resource for homeworkers who will benefit from sales support tools for each rewards programme, access to regular online training, access to member sales teams at the click of a button and, of course, increased earning power.

MBR has always been about allowing agents to earn with ease. We operate in seven languages and provide region-specific market trends and insights. We support our agents on many levels, but our active MBR and Travel Professionals Facebook pages offer social networking for those that need more flexibility from home.

We also offer straightforward financial management and are HMRC approved with official tax deduction and reporting available for every agent under their own profile.

What is the platform’s reach?

MBR is a fully integrated online solution. Suppliers can engage with an active network of over 40,000 global agents to incentivise sales and convert bookings; agents can earn and learn from more than 1,200 hotels and resorts worldwide.

2022 was a record year with UK agents logging 33,000 bookings and earning more than £130,000 in tangible rewards. Globally we saw 47,800 bookings logged with a rewards value paid to agents of $260,000. 2023 is already on track to surpass this!

And for agents, the scale of earning is made simple with the ‘Log Any Booking’ function, which maximises earning potential by automatically registering a rewards entry to all relevant programmes from just the initial logged booking.

Can you give us an example to show how the rewards work?

We’ve recently signed All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy, so agents can now earn Marriott Bonvoy points on all Marriott bookings logged. There are up to 1,000 points available, per room, per night, which gives agents the opportunity to redeem against flights, music gigs, sporting fixtures and even free night stays across the Marriott portfolio. Points can be earned on bookings of three nights or more, made via global distribution systems, Marriott.com, all-inclusive Marriott.com, Marriott’s customer engagement centre or with a Marriott property directly. The points per room, per night reduce to 500 when bookings are made through a UK wholesale partner, tour operator, online travel agent or Expedia Partner Solutions.

Who are other typical MBR partners?

We work with a variety of supplier partners globally to ensure our agents have as much opportunity as possible to log bookings and earn rewards. From small independent hotels such as Calabash Cove in Saint Lucia to larger hotel groups such as Playa Hotels & Resorts and Hard Rock Hotels. We’re also very pleased to offer high reward values from our boutique and niche members.

What rewards might a top-performing agent earn in a year?

Top earning agents in 2022 were reaping big cash benefits from logging their bookings via mybookingrewards.com. As an example, our highest monetary earner scooped almost £3,000 in cash (£2,912). Some agents chose to redeem their points bonuses for free night stays – one agent who earned £1,828 in 2022 also converted some of their earned points into free night stays.

Are there any periods when earning potential is boosted?

Yes, there’s increased earning power during January peaks when select suppliers amplify their rewards to drive new year sales. Increased cash rewards, including double points offers, are usually rolled out. In addition, our annual Peaks Performance Awards recognise sales performance, combining luxury prizes with an evening of entertainment and celebration.

Agent feedback

I find My Booking Rewards extremely useful, mostly for the weekly training webinars and e-learning modules. Watching the webinars I gain so much knowledge on destinations and resorts as well as individual hotels too. It’s great that these are also available to re-watch on the website to refer back to. Having the cash rewards or free night’s stay when logging relevant bookings is a lovely gesture which certainly boosts my earning power. It also helps my sales technique as it gives me personal experience of the properties.

My Booking Rewards is a great live directory for worldwide hotels and resorts and I regularly use the portal as a source of supplier news including product updates and fab offers. As a homeworker, I find the online training support so valuable and on many occasions webinar knowledge has helped me secure bookings. I’ve also earned some excellent rewards over the years and I regularly save up to spend against my own holidays.
