While international travel still remains complex and off-putting to some, suggest your clients book a spa break on home soil to help them unwind and avoid travel stress. Abra Dunsby picks out three unique spa options located inside new UK hotels
At this grand hotel, which opened last year and is housed in a beautiful Georgian building, clients can relax in the warm-water springs that have drawn people to Buxton since Roman times. The hotel’s spa offers a range of hydrotherapy treatments, with three pools to choose from – the Thermal Pool, a refurbished Victorian bath filled with Buxton’s mineral-rich water; a relaxation pool with an atmospheric dark ceiling pierced with shafts of light; and an impressive indoor-outdoor rooftop pool which overlooks the historic town below.
Signature treatments include an individual thermal Buxton water bath imbued with CO2 to help boost circulation and lower blood pressure to a state of total zen. The spa is also the UK’s first to offer an underwater jet massage.
