Carrier has appointed Personal Travel Agents’ luxury travel designer Emma Frearson to the newly created role of account manager for the Midlands and north, while business development manager Raj Mistry has left the luxury operator to start “a new venture”.
Frearson starts her new role in June, and currently runs her own luxury travel business servicing a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, working closely with Carrier.
Mistry announced he was leaving the operator after nine years, and in a statement Carrier said his departure “provided an opportunity for the business to review the agency sales team structure to best meet the needs of Carrier’s agent partners.”
It continued: “Identifying that building and maintaining strong engagement with like-minded agents was a top priority, Carrier created a new account manager role to meet this need.”
Frearson’s remit will be to nurture and develop agent relationships in the Midlands and the north of England, Scotland and Ireland.
Carrier’s head of sales Rick Milne said Frearson’s “passion and deep understanding of luxury travel from an agent’s perspective makes her the perfect addition to complement our existing team."
He continued: "Within the agency sales team, we have access to one of, if not the, most experienced and well-respected teams in luxury travel. There’s over 100 years of combined expertise and Emma joins us with an absolute wealth of experience as a luxury travel agent.
"Her endorsement of Carrier couldn’t be more powerful; as an agent, Emma trusted us to look after her best clients for many years. Now, she has taken the bold decision to wind down her own successful and well-established business to take on this role - it just shows how much she believes in the brand.”
