Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) has named the new global managing director of its luxury outfit Scott Dunn.
Alison Zacher joins the luxury brand from Flight Centre stablemate Corporate Traveller, where she was global director of operations and sustainability.
Zacher brings more than 20 years’ industry experience to her new role with Scott Dunn, which was acquired by FCTG in January 2023.
Her appointment comes after it was last month confirmed Scott Dunn chief executive Sonia Davies, who joined FCTG’s global leisure executive team earlier this year, would be leaving the operator after six-and-a-half years.
FCTG said Zacher was a passionate advocate of women in leadership and praised the "instrumental" role she has played in developing many of the other senior leaders within the group.
"[She] has been a driving force in the fast-track leadership programme, something which she is excited about continuing in her new role at Scott Dunn," said FCTG.
Danielle Galloway, FCTG’s global managing director for luxury and independent brands, said Zacher would bring a wealth of experience and "deep passion" for travel to her new role.
"We are confident her leadership and vision will drive the next chapter of growth and innovation at Scott Dunn, ensuring we continue to set the standard for exceptional, tailored travel experiences."
Zacher added: "Travel is more than just a passion – it’s an opportunity to connect, learn and create memories that last a lifetime.
"My vision is to build on Scott Dunn’s heritage of exceptional service, while exploring new ways to elevate our offerings and inspire more people to experience the joy of travel in a meaningful and personalised way."
Late last year, Davies confirmed Scott Dunn was preparing to launch to agents this year and place a more concerted focus on the cruise sector.
