The luxury hotelier has announced it is working on a project in Miami, which will join its Manhattan opening in the US.
The group said its project will be in the city’s Faena District in South Beach, but the number of rooms has not been confirmed.
The hotel on Collins Avenue will be on the site of the former Versailles Hotel, and is said to be opening in 2023.
Aman Miami will join Aman’s first ever US city hotel opening, a property due to open in Manhattan in New York at the end of 2020 as part of the luxury redevelopment of the Crown Building on Fifth Avenue.
The group now has 39 hotels and resorts open and in the pipeline in 22 destinations including the latest addition in Japan, where a hotel opened in Kyoto in November.
Aman’s American portfolio already includes Amangani in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Amangiri in Canyon Point, Utah. Camp Sarika by Amangiri is also due to open in the Utah desert in April 2020, five minutes from the existing property.
The new camp will offer 10 tented pavilions with their own private plunge pools, plus a main pavilion and restaurant, two spa suites and pool.
Other forthcoming destinations include Mexico and Bangkok, with a property in the Japanese ski resort of Niseko also mooted.
Aman’s chairman and chief executive Vladislav Doronin said: “Aman Miami will give our guests the opportunity to connect with Aman in a culturally rich urban environment, whilst also serving as a gateway to Amanera in the Dominican Republic and Amanyara in the Turks and Caicos.”
