The luxury brand is set to make its debut in the Indian Ocean hotspot as part of its long-term growth strategy.
Aman has announced the launch of Aman Maldives, marking the 21st addition to the luxury brand’s portfolio of global destinations.
Situated in the secluded Vaavu atoll, the resort will feature 52 keys and 16 residences designed by longtime Aman collaborator, Kerry Hill Architects.
Guests can expect standalone pavilions ranging from one to three bedrooms, some of which are located on the main resort and some of which will be tucked away on extensions. All villas have private pools.
Each of the 16 Aman Maldives’ residences, which range in size from five to ten bedrooms, is perched on its own islet with a private beach. The properties will also have access to a 25 metre swimming pool and personal landing jetting, while still being in close proximity to the resort’s amenities. Other offerings include a variety of restaurant venues, a beach club and several private dining locations.
Aman Maldives will also have an expansive spa on its own islet, as well as a dive centre and watersports facilities for exploring the region’s coral reefs and unique marine life.
“Responding to the request from Aman guests for our presence in the Maldives has long been part of our growth strategy,” said Vlad Doronin, chairman and chief executive of Aman Group.
Construction of Aman Maldives is now underway, with an opening date to be announced in due course.
