Ani Private Resorts will open a 15-suite estate in Shoal Bay in 2024, featuring a spa, waterslide, tennis court and gym.
It will be the brand’s fifth private retreat, and second in Anguilla. The island is already home to an Ani estate above Little Bay on the northern shoreline, and the newcomer will be further along the coast at Shoal Bay.
The estate will offer a 1:1 ratio of guests to staff, and is designed as an exclusive-use concept.
Chief executive Yeshi Phuntso said this made it “ideal for special occasion travel, multi-generational travel, groups of friends and destination weddings”.
“With the success of our current properties, and the demand for private retreats continuing to rise, we see an ideal opportunity to expand the brand,” he added.
Stays will be on an all-inclusive basis, covering meals, spa treatments, excursions and kids’ activities. Guests can join cooking classes, dance classes, cultural shows and personal training sessions, and head out on sunset boat trips and local guided tours.
All Ani resorts also support local Ani Art Academies, which were created by the brand’s founder Tim Reynolds. They offer free four-year art skills courses to local aspiring artists, and guests are invited to visit the academies during their stay.
The Ani portfolio also includes an estate on a private peninsula on the Dominican Republic’s north coast, another on Koh Yao Noi island in Thailand and a five-acre resort on Sri Lanka’s southern coast. Each of Ani’s private villa estates accommodates up to 20 or 30 individuals across 10 to 15 suites.
Reservations are for a minimum of six suites for five nights, with rates from $13,000 per night for six suites.
