Auberge Resorts Collection is expanding its presence in Europe by adding new properties in France and Italy.
The US-based group currently has 26 luxury resorts, hotels and residences around the world, including the existing Grace Hotel, Auberge Resorts Collection, on the Greek island of Santorini.
Auberge has now also been chosen to manage Domaine des Etangs in France from April 2023. The property is a historic chateau set on 2,500 acres of forest in the Charente region, which was turned into a hotel in 2015.
Facilities include an art gallery, the Michelin-starred Dyades restaurant and a wellness space built around the original works of the old mill building.
The company will also operate the new Collegio alla Querce, Auberge Resorts Collection, in the Tuscan city of Florence from early 2024. The former cultural institution, school, chapel and theatre is being converted into an 82-room hotel around three miles from the Duomo di Firenze.
Auberge has recently opened several properties in North America, including The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern in Los Olivos, California, and Wildflower Farms in New York’s Hudson Valley, as well as Susurros Del Corazon in Punta de Mita in Mexico.
