InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced plans to open another Hotel Indigo property in west London.
IHG’s deal with Lancaster Landmark Hotel Company will see the existing K West Hotel and Spa undergoing a “significant” refurbishment and redesign before reopening in spring 2025 as the Hotel Indigo London K West Shepherds Bush.
Taking over the 252-room hotel will increase the boutique brand’s presence in London to six properties. Facilities at the renovated property will include a restaurant and bar, plus a spa with hydrotherapy pool.
Willemijn Geels, vice-president of development, Europe, at IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “We are delighted to have added Hotel Indigo London K West Shepherds Bush to our ever-growing UK portfolio.
“As one of IHG’s luxury & lifestyle brands, Hotel Indigo is continuing to grow in popularity, and this is reflected in the interest we are seeing from owners and investors.”
Hotel Indigo was first launched as a boutique-style brand in 2004 and currently has 41 properties in Europe with another 16 hotels in the planning stages. There are 143 Hotel Indigo hotels open globally with another 119 in the development pipeline.
