Dior spa and beauty rituals are now possible on the move on the Royal Scotsman, A Belmond Train.
Sibling brands under LVMH, the long-term partnership between Dior and Belmond sees the new Dior Spa Royal Scotsman housed in a dedicated wellness carriage with two lacquered treatment rooms which have been restyled with Dior’s burgundy toile de Jouy motif.
The new bespoke wellbeing menu features three treatments devised specifically for the train’s guests. These include the D-Travel body massage, which, inspired by Scotland’s landscape and climate, begins with the application of semi-precious hot stones and ends with soothing Bain Dior body mist.
New adventure and culinary-themed journeys are also part of the new 2023 schedule.
Highland Survival Adventure, designed in partnership with luxury adventure travel experts Wildnis, will run from 30 June to 3 July.
The three-day high-adrenaline itinerary features several outdoor challenges in secluded locations in the Western Highlands.
Led by a former Royal Marines sergeant and a seasoned survivalist, Royal Scotsman guests can tackle a modern-day Royal Marines Commando assault training programme, abseil down a waterfall, take a wild swim and learn about surviving in the wild.
In more relaxed style, A Taste of Scotland, hosted by Michelin-starred chef Tom Kitchin, will take guests on a gastronomic adventure from 4 to 6 September.
The two-night journey will head through the Scottish Highlands from Edinburgh to Boat of Garten, Inverness, Dundee and back while meals showcase Kitchin’s “Nature-to-Plate” philosophy and allow guests to explore the region’s produce.
The itinerary begins with an exclusive masterclass with local wine merchants L’Art du Vin and a four-course dinner.
On the second day, after guests have enjoyed country pursuits at Rothiemurchus Estate, Kitchin will host a lunch barbecue by the quaint Lochside bothy.
The tour continues to the Benromach distillery for expert-led whisky tasting before a final dinner onboard.
