In the latest BBC2 series, celebrity chef Monica Galetti and television personality Rob Rinder visit unique luxury hotels across the globe, giving viewers a glimpse of what happens behind-the-scenes.

Carrier has seen increased interest for each property following an episode, and to help agents ignite their clients’ wanderlust, the luxury operator has created packages with flights and transfers for the hotels it features. It’s also created a suite of marketing assets for agents to use on their channels, include a selection of unbranded images, videos, hotel brochures, window package displays and social media banners, which partners can access via Dropbox.

In the first episode on 6 August, Galetti and Rinder visited Sir Richard Branson’s Moroccan resort Kasbah Tamadot, while episode two on 13 August focused on Joali in the Maldives. Upcoming properties include Norway’s Nusfjord Arctic Resort (airing on 20 August), Ceylon Tea Trails in Sri Lanka (27 August) and South Africa’s Phinda Private Game Reserve (3 September).

There will also be episodes focusing on Borgo Egnazia in Puglia (10 September), Scotland’s Glenapp Castle (17 September) and Hotel Hubertus in the Italian part of the Tyrol alpine region, which will air at Christmas. Carrier features all the properties except the Nusfjord Arctic Resort, Glenapp Castle and Hotel Hubertus.

Marketing manager Nicole Williams explained: “At Carrier, we firmly believe that people are the real luxury in travel – that is perfectly demonstrated in the show, giving viewers the opportunity to get a rare glimpse into the inner workings of a luxury hotel and meet the people behind the scenes that ensure each and every stay is beyond extraordinary.

“Showing more than just beautiful hotel rooms and exceptional service, it also shines a light on the experiences that allow visitors to truly get under the skin of a destination, whether that’s taking tea with a local at Kasbah Tamadot or a private dinner on a sandbank at Joali. These are the elements that truly appeal to luxury travellers.”

Discussing Sunday night’s episode featuring Joali and wellbeing island Joali Being, Jenny Basham, product manager for long-haul beaches, said: “It was wonderful to see both islands showcased in all their glory on Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby, and we’re sure viewers will have been as captivated as we are by the serene beauty of these magical islands.”
