Places for the training, which commences in March, will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
Carrier has unveiled its ‘business accelerator course’ for 2025, as part of its commitment to supporting its network of advisors.
The luxury travel company shared the news at its inaugural summit, which took place at Corinthia London on Monday. The conference hosted a handpicked selection of 63 advisors and a small range of suppliers, and was organised as a follow-up to Carrier’s first ever Retreat, held at Grecotel Corfu Imperial earlier this year.
There will be just 12 places on the course, which will be partially sponsored by Carrier. Participants will enrol in a mix of virtual and in-person classes across three separate sessions between March and September, the first of which will take place at Carrier’s offices in Didsbury.
The course will be run by Sinead Healy, founder and managing director of Marmalade Development, who also attended the Retreat in Corfu to give talks on personal development for agents. “Sinead really resonated with people at the summit,” Lee Marshall, head of trade partnerships at Carrier, told TTG Luxury.
“It’s very much first come, first served,” he added. “We’ve already got 10 people registered, but with the interest so high, we might extend to an extra course.” The total fee for the training is £1,375, but with Carrier subsidising the cost, participants will pay £1,000.
“It’s an investment, but we want to know people are committed to the course,” Marshall explained.
Carrier also launched two new products at the summit, the first being a luxury cruising brochure in response to agents’ demand for physical marketing materials.
“The truth is, we have been featuring cruise within our portfolio for some time now, but it’s been a bit of a secret,” Marshall explained. “We now want to shout about it, because we think that luxury cruising is one of the most exciting and innovative sectors in the market.”
To mark the launch, Carrier hosted a panel discussion with a number of luxury cruise industry leaders, including Peter Shanks, managing director UK and Ireland at Silversea; Lynn Narraway, vice president UK and EMEA at Seabourn; Priti Mehta, head of sales UK & Ireland, Explora Journeys; and Paul Beale, vice president of sales UK at Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
The summit also saw the introduction of Running Wild, Carrier’s new wildlife product dedicated to Africa, India, and Sri Lanka.
Other highlights include the announcement of eight live webinars for 2025, each of which will be hosted by Carrier’s product and sales teams. “It won’t be a ‘death by PowerPoint’ training session, but more of an insight into the care that we put into the customer journey,” said Marshall.
There will also be at least two face-to-face events on next year’s calendar, in keeping with the company’s determination to put human connection at the heart of its business model, he added.
