Celebrity Cruises hopes to reach more than 100 travel agency marketers with its new marketing programme, which was launched on Monday (22 January).
The line said the Marketing Partner Programme would enable it to “work closer with trade partners than ever before, educating and engaging them on its premium brand”.
Trade marketers will receive monthly newsletters, have access to dedicated ship visits in Southampton, Liverpool and Greenock and attend marketing workshops hosted by the line’s senior leaders and management team. The first workshops will run in February and March.
Celebrity said trade feedback has helped shape the Marketing Partner Programme, which was first announced by UK and Ireland sales director Claire Stirrup earlier this month. The line revealed it would push its new premium brand message to the trade in the Marketing Partner Programme.
Celebrity’s head of marketing Leigh Thomson said: “There’s a lot of training for travel agents in terms of being able to improve their marketing skills, but there is nothing for marketing professionals.
“The key thing is marketers can register very easily on [trade platform] Celebrity Central. It’s not a one-time thing. New team members can be registered at any time.”
She added: “I’m passionate about bolstering the wider team’s knowledge and support. Marketing professionals deserve the opportunity to invest in their learning journey with Celebrity Cruises, so that they too can drive passion for our brand.”
