COMO Hotels and Resorts is set to open a new property on Fiji’s Laucala island later this month.
The resort, COMO Laucala Island, will welcome guests from 15 December and feature 25 residences.
Dwellings will be spread out across private beaches, above lagoons, atop hills and mountains on the island’s northern shore and each boast their own butler.
COMO Laucala Island also features a private airstrip, accessed by a 45-minute private air charter from Fiji’s Nadi International airport.
Ranging in size between 3,000 to 4,000 sq/m, all residences offer private pools and have been built with natural Fijian wood in a South Pacific style and blended with COMO’s contemporary design.
In a first for the brand, the resort will offer an 18-hole David McLay Kidd-designed golf course, as well as “a wide range of land and water activities” with jet-skis, sailing and fishing boats alongside horse riding, mountain biking, nature hikes and tennis.
COMO Shambhala Retreat, the island’s wellness centre, will make use of the island’s herbs, spices, flowers, and fruits in its treatments with Asian-inspired signature massages and body treatments which will also use Laucala’s river stones, mineral crystals and volcanic soils.
The resort’s five dining options receive produce from the its 240-acre farm and fresh seafood supplies will be sourced exclusively from local fishermen.
