The luxury line has revealed details of its collaboration with the legendary milliner, launching a striking one-off creation.
Cunard is marking its ongoing partnership with celebrity milliner Stephen Jones OBE with the release of a unique new masterpiece, unveiled onboard Cunard’s flagship, Queen Mary 2, this week. The hat will also be modelled on Royal Ascot Gold Cup day later in June.
Jones is set to headline Cunard’s annual Transatlantic Fashion Week, which departs New York on 28 July, arriving in to Southampton seven days later on 4 August.
The headpiece will also form part of the designer’s runway shows onboard the ship, and during the voyage, Jones will also offer guests a series of talks and Q&A opportunities.
Jones will be joined during the fashion week cruise by other key names in fashion such as Stuart Weitzman, Hilary Alexander OBE, Lindy Woodhead and Rose Marie Bravo.
The celebrity milliner has worked for many clients, from fashion houses such as Dior, to Princess Diana, Princess Eugenie and the Duchess of Sussex.
“There is something truly unique about travelling across the Atlantic onboard QM2,” said Jones. “It is an experience that never leaves you and this emotional connection that guests have for this voyage, in addition to Cunard’s history, provided the perfect inspiration when creating this headpiece.”
Cunard’s vice president brand and product Lee Powell said: “The Transatlantic Crossing is our most iconic and treasured way for guests to experience sailing with Cunard on the Queen Mary 2.
"To see this brought to life through this stunning design, by one of the most respected milliners of our generation, in such an innovative and interesting way, is wonderful.”
