Emirates' Tim Clark to headline Ultratravel Forum

Clark’s 50-year career in civil aviation saw him become part of the original founding team of Emirates in 1985, where he has held the role of president since 2003, overseeing its huge global growth; prior to the pandemic, Emirates was serving more than 150 destinations in 85 countries.

The session will see Clark interviewed by journalist John Arlidge, who has profiled some of the world’s most prominent business leaders for The Sunday Times and also co-writes The Sunday Times Rich List.

The interview will be the culmination of a programme of senior and eminent speakers as the event returns to London, taking place at the Pan Pacific London hotel on 31 October.

Other speakers at the afternoon event will include Chris Austin, chief sales officer, Explora Journeys, who will be followed by a session on The World and Luxury Travel in 2023 by Daniel Franklin, executive editor, The Economist.

Taking part in the presidents panel and talking about sustainability in luxury travel will be Dillip Rajakarier, CEO, Minor Hotel Group; Michael Ungerer, CEO, Explora Journeys; Diana Verde Nieto, co-founder and co-CEO, Positive Luxury; and Clive Jackson, chairman and founder, Fly Victor, moderated by Mark Barton, ex-anchor, Bloomberg Television.

Organised by Ultratravel chairman and founder Nick Perry, the event is part of the Day of Luxury, which sees the resumption of a previous partnership with TTG Media. The Day of Luxury also encompasses TTG Luxury’s Luxpo, the one-to-one luxury meetings event for agents and suppliers.

Hand-picked agents who attend Luxpo will get to meet with headline partner Explora Journeys and 13 other partners over the course of the morning at Pan Pacific London. They will then also receive a complimentary ticket to attend the Ultratravel Forum.

The Day of Luxury also includes the presentation of The ULTRAs, an awards programme voted on by affluent travellers. The glittering celebratory event will be co-hosted by TV personalities Kirsty Gallacher and Gethin Jones, along with a host of other celebrities.

Gallacher and Jones previously co-presented The ULTRAs together in Dubai, the last outing for the event before the pandemic took hold.
