Experimental plans to renovate historic Ibiza hotel

Gran Hotel Montesol, which first opened in 1933 and is listed as a Unesco property of cultural interest, will close in 2022 to undergo the refurbishment of its 33 rooms.

Experimental has already carried out the first stage of the hotel’s renovation with the opening of the Sabbaba Montesol restaurant this summer featuring a redesigned restaurant and bar.

Gran Hotel Montesol is located close to Paseo Vara de Rey and a short walk from the historic Dalt Vila neighbourhood on the Balearic island.

The French hotel group, which was founded in 2007, now includes properties in Paris, New York, London, Ibiza, Menorca, Venice and Verbier.
