The shortlist for the TTG Luxury Travel Awards 2024 has been announced, with the reveal of the winners set to take place at Raffles London at The OWO.
More than 120 travel companies have made it onto the shortlist of the TTG Luxury Travel Awards 2024, in association with Silversea.
Finalists range across 18 categories and were selected following a rigorous entry and shortlisting process. All entries will now undergo a robust assessment by judging panels featuring a range of relevant industry experts, agents and suppliers from across the travel sector.
The TTG Luxury Travel Awards ceremony will be held on 1 March, returning in its popular Friday afternoon format for the sixth time, and in 2024, at an even more impressive venue, the newly-opened Raffles London at The OWO in the heart of Westminster.
“I am enormously proud of TTG Luxury’s awards initiative, which was the first of its kind in the UK and when we launched it in 2018, we were thrilled with the response from entrants, winners and all guests at the event, which continues to be a major gathering of the cream of the luxury travel sector,” said April Hutchinson, editor and publisher of TTG Luxury.
Among the categories are eight for agents, eight for suppliers and two special categories – Luxury Travel Workplace of the Year and Sustainability Hero of the Year, which have become hotly-contested categories.
The recipient of the Contribution to Luxury award will also be announced on the day, with past recipients including Justin Wateridge, Bill Bensley, Matthew Upchurch, Amanda Matthews and Karen Pocock and Roy Collett.
“Running a robust process and creating awards that people work hard to win and are proud of is incredibly satisfying for us as a business too, as we get to see how hard all entrants have been working and give them the chance to celebrate,” Hutchinson added. “Being able to hold the event at the country’s most exciting and significant new hotel of the year is the icing on the cake. We wish everyone the best of luck.”
The awards is set to be its biggest yet, with 350 people expected to attend the day, which includes a drinks reception, entertainment, lunch, ceremony and post-event drinks. The event will be held in the hotel’s incredible Whitehall Ballroom and The Lawrence events spaces, created within the walls of the original Old War Office, built in 1906 and former site of the original Palace of Whitehall.
This location even inspired Ian Fleming to write the James Bond series after working for Britain’s Naval Intelligence Service there, and the hotel features The Spy Bar, a late-night subterranean speakeasy in rooms once used by MI5.
“Keeping the awards at this scale, as an afternoon event and in this dazzling new venue means it’s both efficient and exciting for all attendees, whether a finalist or guest – if you want to network with key partners and new contacts in the industry, this is the place to be,” added Hutchinson. “We can’t wait to see everyone on 1 March and crown some worthy winners.”
Tickets are now available, with reduced prices for agents and discounts when guests purchase a table of 10.
