Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ newest ship Seven Seas Grandeur has set sail. We highlight six unique selling points to help you boost sales.
Seven Seas Grandeur departed on its maiden voyage from Venice (Trieste) to Barcelona on 18 November, and is due to cross the Atlantic to Miami for its christening event on 10 December. It will then offer Caribbean sailings, two transits of the Panama Canal and sail along the US Eastern Seaboard, before returning to Barcelona in March to explore the Mediterranean for summer 2024.
Harry Sommer, president and chief executive of parent Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd described the event as “the most anticipated launch of 2023”, and credited the virtually sold-out inaugural season to “the burgeoning popularity of the unrivalled Regent experience.”
Here are six unique selling points to help you sell the ship:
With gross tonnage of 55,500, staff of 548, and carrying 746 guests, Regent said Seven Seas Grandeur “will provide among the highest space and staff to guest ratios in the industry”.
Regent is popular for its opulent approach to luxury, and Seven Seas Grandeur is no different. It features 373 suites, all with balconies, across 15 accommodation categories. They range between 28.5 square metres to 443 square metres and include the $11,000-a-night Regent Suite, which features an in-suite spa retreat, private balcony with a Tresse Minipool and two lavish bedrooms.
Guests can choose from eight dining experiences, including five complimentary speciality restaurants, with 130 new dishes created exclusively for Seven Seas Grandeur. The line’s signature restaurants Compass Rose, Prime 7, Chartreuse and La Veranda will all feature reimagined designs.
Those looking to broaden their culinary skills can join hands-on classes and special demonstrations at the Culinary Arts Kitchen, a professional-grade culinary teaching facility led by experienced chefs. Classes are inspired by the destinations the Regent fleet visits, and include lessons in French food and wine, the meat and seafood of New Zealand and tastes of the Pacific north-west.
Like the rest of the fleet, Seven Seas Grandeur will be home to a floating art collection, boasting 1,600 pieces. They include the custom designed Journey in Jewels, which is the first Faberge Egg to permanently reside at sea.
The ship will debut Regent’s first digital art tour - Art Experience - which will be available through the new Regent mobile app from December 2023. Guests can also marvel at multiple works by Picasso and a custom-made bronze and hand-cast glass bonsai cherry tree sculpture which will welcome guests into the Asian-fusion restaurant Pacific Rim. The Enchanted Tree is a 40-foot-tall, hand-woven tapestry by Brazilian artist Walter Goldfarb.
Four new productions will debut on Seven Seas Grandeur, with Pasion, Ignite the Night, Marauder’s Ball and Icons. The shows have been created by director of artistic theatrical entertainment Kai Alan Carrier, with support from Dancing with the Stars’ Britt Stewart, Argentine tango dancer Francisco Forquera and Broadway director John MacInnis.
The ship’s spa, Serene Spa & Wellness, will feature new and exclusive treatments, including one that features an amber and quartz crystal bed, another using a treatment table for a Zero Gravity Wellness Massage and a Tahitian Hydration Ritual only available to Regent Suite guests.
