The first speakers set to examine the luxury travel landscape at the upcoming TTG Luxury Travel Summit have been announced.
Part of Day of Luxury, the conference has changed to a new half-day format with a stellar line-up of speakers taking to the stage to explore how consumer behaviour is changing, what trends are impacting luxury travel brands, and the increasing imperative to be a purpose-driven business.
Taking place on Friday 3 November at Kimpton Fitzroy, London, among the speakers at the conference will be forecaster, strategist and award-winning author Lucie Greene, who is founder of consultancy Light Years and known for her insight into cultural trends, consumer insight and brand innovation. Greene previously led J. Walter Thompson’s global futures think tank JWT Intelligence and The Future Laboratory’s trends and intelligence network LS:N Global.
Also joining the line-up will be leaders of luxury tour operators, assessing the travel landscape and discussing how their businesses continue to evolve.
Lisa Smith, new managing director of Inspiring Travel having expanded out from her role as chief operating officer of ITC, will discuss changes she has been making at the operator and enhancements to customer experience and trade strategy.
Natasha Towey has been with Carrier for more than 10 years, transforming both the brand and marketing strategy, and in her new role as managing director will share how she is driving the operator’s “clear purpose and highly engaged team”.
Also speaking at the event will be Tom Marchant, co-founder of tailormade luxury travel company Black Tomato.
Marchant was been recognised as a Game Changer in the 2020 Walpole Power List and for the past several years as a Conde Nast Traveller Top Travel Specialist, with the company recently appointed by EON Productions as the exclusive and first-ever official James Bond travel partner.
“Keeping on top of trends and how global factors are affecting your clients’ mindsets whilst also ensuring your business is on the right track are crucial for any company, and our delegates attend this event as they know we give them access to vital insight and inspiration that can help them formulate strategy – as well of course as benefit from networking, with our welcome lunch and post-event drinks reception,” said April Hutchinson, editor and publisher of TTG Luxury.
The TTG Luxury Travel Summit is combined with another key event Luxpo, when agents will gather for one-to-one meetings with luxury supplier partners over the course over the morning.
Meetings will take place in the hotel’s beautiful Palm Court, including with destinations such as Cayman Islands, Croatia, New Zealand and Greater Palm Springs. Ranging from expedition to river, agents can pick up cruise tips and trends from AE Expeditions, AMA Waterways and Riverside Luxury Cruises.
Airlines joining the event include United Airlines and ANA, while Inside Travel Group will exhibit at Luxpo for the first time. Hotel brands covered include IHG Hotels & Resorts, Inclusive Collection World of Hyatt, Melia Hotels International and Virgin Limited Edition.
“A morning at Luxpo is like a trip around the world, with a series of 15 meetings guaranteed to inspire agents with a raft of new ideas for their clients – at the same time, we ensure suppliers get to meet a great selection of handpicked luxury travel advisors from across the country, ranging from newcomers to established agencies,” added Hutchinson.
Agents and supplier partners attending Luxpo will also benefit from a complimentary place to attend the TTG Luxury Travel Summit in the afternoon, where a further selection of VIP luxury travel advisors will also be invited to attend.
