Four Seasons has opened its first resort based within a working winery in California’s famed Napa Valley.
The 85-room Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley opened earlier this week in the town of Calistoga at the base of Mount Saint Helena in the valley, which is known as one of the world’s top wine-growing areas.
The property, based around the Elusa Winery, offers a range of rooms, suites and villas featuring fireplaces and private terraces, including the 315 square metre Estate Villa with its own private garden and pool.
Locally inspired spa treatments are available both indoors and outdoors, and there are two outdoor pools, fitness facilities, bocce ball court and a supervised Kids for All Seasons programme.
“It’s been a long time coming, giving us the luxury of time to build a team of truly talented people and put together thoughtful programming that marries the best of the Napa lifestyle with Four Seasons excellence,” said general manager Mehdi Eftekari.
“Napa Valley is one of the world’s most coveted wine destinations, so we knew we had to enter this market with a truly unparalleled offering – one that sets a new standard for modern luxury in the region,” added Christian Clerc, Four Seasons’ president, global operations.
