G Adventures has launched a new sub brand aimed at clients who want to combine a premium experience with sustainability.
The Geluxe Collection features 28 trips that focus on being physically active but with exclusive accommodation, upscale dining “and a heavy focus on community and culture”. Packages are available to book now, with departures from May 2024.
The operator said the aim was to provide a luxury experience and “to ensure that as much money as possible stays in the hands of local people”.
Yves Marceau, G Adventures’ vice president of product, said: “These trips have been carefully curated for people who enjoy adventure with a softer landing, yet still appreciate meaningful interactions with local people as part of their travel experience.”
Geluxe will be offered in an initial 16 countries, including Botswana, Nepal, Peru and Zimbabwe.
