Gleneagles Townhouse is scheduled to be unveiled in the centre of Edinburgh in spring 2022.
The hotel, located within a historic building in St Andrew Square, will be the first city-based property opened by legendary Perthshire-based golf resort Gleneagles.
The property, formerly home to the British Linen Company and later occupied by the Bank of Scotland, will feature 33 rooms and suites, alongside an all-day restaurant, members club and rooftop bar with views across Edinburgh’s skyline.
A range of wellness experiences will also be on offer to guests and club members in the building’s former bank vaults, where facilities will include a cryotherapy chamber and infra-red sauna.
The restoration and conversion of the listed building in Edinburgh has been overseen by Ennismore Design Studio during the past five years.
Original fireplaces and panelling have been “reimagined” and supplemented by modern artwork curated by local artists, with each room and suite having its own “unique” design.
