Ikos Resorts opens in Majorca with Ikos Porto Petro
Ikos Resorts has opened its second resort in Spain with Ikos Porto Petro, which officially welcomes guests from 16 June.
The property is the seventh in the brand’s portfolio and its second in Spain. It follows Ikos’s debut on the Iberian Peninsula with the opening of Ikos Andalusia in Marbella – Estepona in May 2021.
The resort is located 50 minutes from Palma de Mallorca airport, and stretches along a kilometre of coastline in the south-east of Majorca. Situated between two sandy coves, it’s next to Parc Natural de Mondrago and the Porto Petro marina.
Ikos Porto Petro offers 319 rooms, suites and bungalows, including a selection of one, two and three-bedroom bungalow suites. The property is expected to expand with the addition of two and three-bedroom cliffhanging suites in 2024, offering private pools and sea views.
The resort offers the Ikos Unconditional Luxury concept, which means nearly every element of a holiday is included, spanning menus created by Michelin-starred chefs, signature cocktails, 300 international wines, kids’ clubs, 24-hour room service and poolside service.
It offers the Anne Semonin Spa, five à la carte restaurants, and Ikos Resorts’ new Food Hall concept, which serves buffet-style breakfasts and international cuisine, with à la carte options for lunch and dinner. Guests can opt to eat at local restaurants with the Ikos Dine Out experience at no extra cost, and use complimentary Tesla electric cars for days out.
There are five indoor and outdoor heated pools, including an adult-only pool and separate children’s and baby pools. A beach and poolside waiter service serving food and beverages and 30 minutes of free childcare at the water’s edge for kids over the age of four are also on offer.
On the water, guests can try water sports, boat trips and day tours or a sea caving adventure. On land, golf, hiking, and biking experiences are available.
Ikos Porto Petro is the first new Ikos opening this year, and will be followed by Ikos Odisia in Corfu.
Room rates start from €662 per night for a superior double room on an all-inclusive basis.
