A range of premium and experiential travel brands and hotels from Norway are to visit the UK for a workshop aimed at high-end travel planners, held in partnership with TTG Luxury.
On 15 November, the 15 Norwegian partners will be in London to engage directly with 20-25 carefully chosen UK travel designers, tour operators and high-end agents.
The day-long workshop will take place at The Conduit, an impact-focused private members club in Covent Garden which also has a sister club in Oslo, Norway’s capital. The event will focus on product knowledge and on fostering long-term relationships through a day of pre-booked one-to-one meetings and an immersive networking experience.
“The UK market is one of the most important for the Norwegian tourist industry and this is such an exciting project for us. There were a number of selection criteria the 15 Norwegian companies had to fulfil and among the most important was the desire to be part of a network and work together to position Norway as a destination for high-end travellers – a relatively new segment for us,” said Britt Gorniok, project manager high end for Visit Norway.
“We have a great range of providers from across the country with amazing products and are really excited to introduce these to UK high-end operators and agents,” she added.
The workshop follows a successful experience-focused fam trip to Norway earlier this month which saw 10 travel planners visit the Bergen area and northern Norway.
“We’re delighted with the warm reception among participants on the incredible trip planned by Visit Norway, which showcased the depth of experiences the country has to offer,” added April Hutchinson, editor and publisher of TTG Luxury.
“We’re also thrilled to move into phase two of the project, bringing together some of the UK’s most discerning travel planners with the 15 partners in a perfect location for this kind of project. This strategic push into the high-end travel segment signifies a pivotal moment for Norway, promising to elevate its tourism industry and attract a new wave of discerning travellers.”
Tour operators and travel designers focused on high-end and experiential travel who are interested in a place at the workshop on 15 November should contact April Hutchinson in the first instance for more information.
