Car rental concierge THE OUT has launched a trade portal allowing agents to book Jaguar Land Rover rentals for clients. Senior partnerships manager Adam Cooper explains why agents should sign up.
THE OUT offers Defender, Discovery, Range Rover and Jaguar vehicles across Greater London – with plans to expand across the UK – and until now has sold directly to consumers. It’s now expanded its offering to the trade with a new B2B platform, which is already being used by Quintessentially, Mr and Mrs Smith and Luxury Cotswolds Rentals.
TTG Luxury spoke to senior partnerships manager Adam Cooper to find out why agents should get involved.
Historically, the only option to book with THE OUT has been the standard consumer booking process on THE OUT website and app. This meant the person booking the car was also the person driving it, which we found excluded our partners, who needed to place bookings on behalf of their clients, customers and C-Suite team.
The new B2B platform provides the solution, allowing businesses to book THE OUT’s exclusive offering of the newest Defender, Discovery, Range Rover and Jaguar models on behalf of their clients, guests and executives.
Through THE OUT portal, our partners are able to make real-time bookings for cars in our fleet in a quick and efficient manner. They can set up accounts for clients, generate links for customers to add their drivers’ licences and (if required) card details, before confirming their bookings.
Once a partner has set up a client on their portal account they can then make future bookings for them without the need to re-upload licence documents, allowing future journeys to be scheduled quickly and smoothly. We also have an agreed commission scheme for our partners, for each completed rental trip.
THE OUT’s car rental service always seeks to go above and beyond what people think about car rentals. We offer a white-glove service, with a quick and efficient booking process, delivering our cars to drivers’ preferred locations across London – whether that is outside their front door, at the airport, the train station or place of work. Our customers can also take comfort in knowing they will receive exactly the car they requested when booking, and can take advantage of a whole host of extras such as additional drivers, child seats and the ability to take THE OUT cars on travels across Europe.
THE OUT portal allows our partners to book all of this for their customers, providing a one-stop-shop to monitor the status of all bookings for all clients in one easy to use platform.
THE OUT is available to book from across the UK, for delivery in any postcode in the Greater London area.
THE OUT fleet is as versatile as our clients. From trips out into the wilderness, to city breaks, nights out and even glamping excursions, THE OUT fleet has a car perfect for each destination and experience.
We partner with hotel, travel agents, corporations and lifestyle management companies. Our typical customers are 30 to 45 year-old, high-net-worth individuals based in and around London zones 1-5. THE OUT customers have a sense of adventure, taste for the finer things in life and love to escape the city, planning their journeys completely independently.
Our most popular vehicle in the fleet is the Defender 110. It’s big, luxurious (but still rugged), can fit up to seven people, looks and feels fantastic to drive. It’s such a versatile car that our customers feel like they can go anywhere with it.
