Aether is set to offer all travellers at Manchester Airport, regardless of airline or ticket class, entry to an exclusive new lounge and premium service this November.

Created separately from the main terminal, Aether will offer travellers an “elevated” journey with a number of benefits as a paid-for service. The product, which was launched by digital travel services business Cavu, can also be booked by agents.

It has been designed as a “contemporary, self-contained” space with a focus on enhancing the standard routine of flying, including check-in, security and private parking. There will also be a curated menu courtesy of Adam Reid, chef-patron of The French, plus panoramic views of the runway and a team of dedicated staff.

Another premium service as part of Aether is chauffeur transport to transport passengers across the airfield to the plane in either a BMW i7, a BMW X7 or a BMW XM.

“What sets Aether apart is its inclusivity; it’s accessible to all passengers, regardless of ticket class, and doesn’t require membership. This democratisation of premium airport services marks a significant shift in the industry, offering a reimagined airport experience to a much broader audience,” Suzanne Orr, general manager of Aether, said.

“Our Private Terminal is a sanctuary, offering a thoughtfully designed, elevated experience away from the hustle and bustle of what you’d usually expect in an airport. We prioritise tranquillity and provide a seamless service to offer our guests an effortless start, or even end, to their journey.”

Cost of entry at Aether begins at £90 per person as part of a two-tiered offering, with the first rate, “Express”, available to passengers with just cabin bags.

For a premium price, travellers with cabin or checked bags can choose the “Inclusive” package, which can be used on either departure or arrival and covers Aether’s entire offering, including its menu, all food and drinks and a private chauffeur to the aircraft. For an additional cost and subject to availability, “Inclusive” also allows guests to bring along non-travelling companions into the private terminal.

Booking reservations for Aether will open on 6 June for passengers to use the private terminal from 4 November.
