Fifth Avenue Hotel is set to open in New York on 16 October following a decade-long transformation project.
Located at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 28th Street, the hotel is close to Madison Square Park in the Nomad neighbourhood of Manhattan.
A renovation has turned a former bank to a luxury hotel, which will now consist of two distinct accommodation elements – The Mansion, a historic monument, and The Tower, a 24-storey new-build glass structure, with the concept being the vision of owner Alex Ohebshalom.
The Mansion was once the residence of Gilded Age figure Charlotte Goodridge and has undergone a meticulous seven-year restoration to revive its former grandeur.
The hotel has 153 guest rooms and suites, several of which offer private terraces and design, and interiors have been conceived by London-based Martin Brudnizki Design Studio.
The hotel will feature dining experiences by chef Andrew Carmellini across The Signature Restaurant, The Study, the intimate Portrait Bar and The Terrace, while small-scale dinners can be held at Wine Vault.
