Explora Journeys’ larger third vessel will operate an ex-UK departure during its maiden European season in 2026, it has been revealed.
Explora III’s inaugural sailing will depart from Barcelona on 3 August 2026, followed by a cruise from Lisbon on 10 August.
After starting its cruise from Southampton on 17 August 2026, the 463-suite vessel will visit destinations in the Netherlands, Norway, Estonia, Sweden, Germany, Iceland and Greenland before sailing to North America.
Explora III will arrive in Quebec City, Canada, on 27 September before continuing its journey to the US and will arrive in Miami on 25 October 2026 before heading to the Caribbean for the winter.
Of the 463 suites on board, Explora III will feature 313 Ocean Suites, 109 Ocean Penthouses, 39 Ocean Residences and two Owner’s Residences.
Ocean Penthouses now account 24% of the suite inventory on board and the Ocean Residencies have increased to 9% of the total suite inventory compared to Explora I and II.
Explora III’s restaurants include Anthology, Sakura, Fil Rouge, Med Yacht Club, Marble & Co. Grill, and Emporium Marketplace.
An expanded sports court on board will offer pickle ball, padel and basketball. The Nautilus Club caters to children and teens, while meeting rooms on Deck 11 can host business events, functions and video conferences.
Explora III will be the first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) vessel in the ultra-luxury line’s fleet and will be equipped with shore-power capabilities. It will help transition to drop-in bio-fuels and synthetic LNG at a later date.
