The hospitality group is keen to expand its offerings of private villas and mansions as it takes full ownership of the portfolio.
Mandarin Oriental has announced full ownership of its exclusive collection of luxury vacation homes and mansions, and will now operate the business independently.
Originally launched in 2022 as a limited collection of eight properties, the Group plans to grow the portfolio further in the hope of increasing its global clientele.
The collection will also be rebranded as Mandarin Oriental Exceptional Homes, in alignment with the Group’s vision to be ‘Fans of the Exceptional, Every Day, Everywhere.’ Over the past three years, Mandarin Oriental’s portfolio of luxury properties has grown to 25.
The brand says that its growth will focus on premier leisure destinations, including Mediterranean hotspots, Alpine winter retreats, and desirable summer and winter destinations across North America. It added that it is keen for all guests to enjoy Mandarin Oriental’s signature hospitality year-round in the world’s most prestigious settings.
The collection, which offers a range of bespoke experiences including beachside getaways and vibrant party venues, was launched to appeal to a broader clientele, including multi-generational families and discerning travellers seeking privacy and exclusivity.
“Since launch, these exquisite private homes have become a natural extension to the Mandarin Oriental brand, providing us with an opportunity to enter new destinations and introduce unique experiences to our Fans around the world,” said Laurent Kleitman, group chief executive of Mandarin Oriental.
“Each hand-picked luxurious home fits naturally into our portfolio and in many cases, their locations provide opportunities for our guests to combine a hotel stay with a villa experience and explore more of the destination in different ways – all with the assurance of Mandarin Oriental’s award-winning brand. We are committed to bringing the full experience into the brand, expanding and enhancing our offering, and identifying many more private homes for our growing collection.”
