Pride of Britain Hotels has relaunched as PoB Hotels, with a new logo and website and growing sustainability ambitions.
PoB Hotels offers independent hotels, restaurants and spas across Britain, and its new name is designed to “inspire guests to discover new hotel experiences that are pampering, outstanding and British.”
The brand has unveiled a new website, with a focus on different regions, and a fresh logo with a charcoal and white colour palette. A secondary palette uses shades including Heather, English Rose, Crown Jewel, Custard Cream and Green Apple.
The Handle is PoB Hotels’ new online magazine, and the brand is relaunching all its social media channels under its new name, including its first foray into TikTok. New gift vouchers and The Collection coffee table-style book have also been introduced.
Chief executive Kalindi Juneja said: “It’s an exciting new era for PoB Hotels as the evolution of our iconic British brand has already brought us new hotel members and is attracting new guests. Britons want to spend more time enjoying the incredible experiences on offer within the British Isles and we will be showcasing the finest privately-owned hotels, restaurants and spas available.”
PoB Hotels has partnered with certification group EarthCheck to develop environmental good practice and certification for hotel members and the company. The PoB Hotels brand has already achieved bronze certification, with the aim of reaching silver this year, and a quarter of member hoteliers have signed up to EarthCheck.
The brand surveyed 1,000 UK adults earlier this month and found 63% said the appeal of taking a break in Britain, as opposed to flying abroad, had increased since the pandemic. Furthermore, 35% said they plan to stay at an upmarket, luxury or spa hotel within the British Isles.
