Ten new suites are being added to Silversea’s Silver Endeavour in response to demand for the ship’s most spacious cabins.
The luxury expedition ship, which spent its inaugural season in Antarctica, will gain six new upper suites on deck eight and four new suites on deck five, creating two new suite categories.
The upper suites will comprise two Master Suites and four Signature Suites, which will replace the former helicopter hangar.
The Master Suites, located towards the ship’s aft, will incorporate living and dining areas and provide uninterrupted views from their 29 square metre verandas and their large living areas, thanks to panoramic, vaulted windows.
The Signature Suites will have open living rooms and dining areas and floor-to-ceiling windows in the bedrooms.
Both suite types will feature bedrooms with king-sized or twin beds and walk-in wardrobes, while bathrooms will have walk-in showers and separate whirlpool baths. Convertible sofas in the living rooms will be able to accommodate a third guest.
On the starboard side of deck five, four Classic Veranda Suites will replace the Medical Centre, which will be relocated to the space currently occupied by the casino on the deck below.
These will have the layout, features, and amenities of Silversea’s existing Veranda Suites including five square metre verandas.
The further addition of new crew cabins will also enable seven extra staff members to be added to the team.
Additional enhancements will include the installation of handcrafted Lalique crystal panels in the ship’s La Dame French restaurant.
Following Silver Endeavour’s refurbishment in Genova, she will make two voyages in the British Isles and Iceland, before embarking upon her inaugural Arctic season from 3 June.
Nine voyages in the Polar Region will include remote destinations such as Pond Inlet, Cape York and Qaanaaq.
