With a capacity of just 12 guests, the Spirit of Ponant will deliver an intimate sailing experience when it makes its maiden voyage this summer.
Ponant has announced the launch of its latest vessel, marking the 14th addition to the luxury French cruise line’s fleet.
The Spirit of Ponant will make its maiden voyage this June, spending the summer around the French island of Corsica, before making its way to the Seychelles for a winter season.
With just six state rooms, the 24-metre maxi-catamaran has a capacity of 12 guests and four crew members (including a chef selected by Ponant). Each itinerary on the Spirit of Ponant, a Lagoon Seventy 7 sailboat, will feature a number of nautical activities, including paddle boating, wakeboarding and snorkelling.
Gastronomy is another highlight of the ship, in keeping with the cruise line’s commitment to providing excellent food and wine served by world-class chefs and sommeliers. Guests can also expect visits to lesser-known destinations throughout their trip.
Guillaume Le Brec, the captain in charge of the project, said: “The concept and design of this Lagoon Seventy 7 yacht has been praised by everyone in the industry, with people won over by the spacious interior and exterior areas. Guests will really appreciate the high-end finishings as much as her exceptional sailing qualities.”
