Ultra-luxury cruise line Seabourn has revealed details of the first two itineraries on its new expedition ship Seabourn Venture in 2022.
The ship’s inaugural voyage will depart Greenwich in London on 10 April 2022 on a 12-day Wild & Ancient British Isles trip to Leith in Scotland, including visits to Dublin and the Scottish islands.
This will be followed by a 12-day Scottish and Norse Legends Expedition itinerary around Scotland and Norway departing from Leith on 22 April and sailing to Tromso. Both of these initial itineraries on Seabourn Venture are now on sale.
“We’re looking forward to the dawn of a new era of expedition cruising, and our inaugural Seabourn Venture itineraries through the British Isles, Scotland and Norway are the perfect beginning,” Seabourn president Josh Leibowitz said.
“Our first purpose-built expedition vessel, Seabourn Venture, is a ship unlike any other, with a perfect blend of luxury and adventure to break boundaries and create lasting memories in destinations brimming with natural and cultural marvels.”
After these first two trips, Seabourn Venture will then start its previously announced deployment in the Arctic from 4 May 2022, cruising to destinations such as Svalbard, Norway, Iceland, Greenland and far northern Canada.
Seabourn Venture is the first of two purpose-built expedition ships for the line, which will include 132 suites with verdanda, as well as two submarines and equipment such as sea kayaks, mountain bikes, Zodiac boats and e-bikes.
