Anantara Hotels has launched a new global fitness challenge to raise money to support conservation work being carried out by wildlife rangers around the world.
The hotel group’s Golden Triangle Elephant Foundation is encouraging people to take part in the Run, Walk, Crawl for Rangers initiative with their steps being tracked on a personal smart device throughout September.
Participants, who pay a $25 entry fee, will be in with the chance to win 50 prizes worth more than $20,000, including stays at Anantara resorts, which will be placed on “lucky” numbers on the leaderboard.
The money raised will be used to support the work of rangers in conservation “hot spots” in destinations such as Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines and Tanzania.
Prizes include the first reservation confirmation for a stay at the new two-bedroom transparent Jungle Bubble Lodge at Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp Resort in Chiang Rai in northern Thailand.
Fitness enthusiasts can take part by registering and paying the entry fee at Thai.fit
