Silversea’s 10 new voyages will depart from Dublin, Portsmouth and Copenhagen, with the first sailing commencing in May 2025.
Silversea has announced 10 new voyages departing from the UK and Ireland, as part of its mission to bring expedition cruising closer to clients’ homes.
The ultra-luxury cruise brand will operate the sailings on Silver Wind next summer, with the first starting from Portsmouth on 19 May. Silversea said the intimate cruise ship, which was refurbished in 2021 and can hold up to 296 guests, is the ‘perfect vessel to access northern Europe’s remote destinations while offering guests our all-inclusive, personalised service and incomparable destination knowledge’.
Guests will embark Silver Wind at Portsmouth, before travelling to 27 ports over three weeks. The first stop-offs will be at Sark Island, known for its car-free roads, and the Isles of Scilly, where passengers can visit the archipelago’s Tresco Gardens.
The ship will then head to Ireland, with calls to the Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher and Tory Island. Its next destination will be northern Scotland, before it sails east to the Norwegian Fjords. Excursions include kayaking around Dingle Island in Ireland, a horse-and-carriage ride on Sark Island and a tour of Scotland’s Iona Abbey.
Door-to-Door fares for this Silver Wind voyage start from £12,600 per guest, based on two sharing.
This voyage departing from Dublin will take guests around the rugged coast of Ireland, the remote British Isles and Iceland, where they will experience sights that are best explored from the sea.
Highlights include Iceland’s glaciers, waterfalls and volcanic mountains, as well as a zodiac cruise of St Kilda. Guests will also see the iconic Antrim Coast and Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland. Door-to-Door fares for this Silver Wind voyage start from £10,100 per guest, based on two sharing, while Port-to-Port fares start from £8,250 per guest.
The shortest of the three itineraries, the Dublin to Copenhagen voyage will travel around the British Isles and northern Europe before heading to its final destination of Copenhagen.
After its departure from Dublin, Silver Wind will sail northwards to the coasts of Scotland and Norway. Excursions include a walking tour of the Norwegian village of Bekkjarvik, kayaking with the Silversea Expedition team in Scotland and the Orkney Treasures tour guided by a local archaeologist.
Door-to-Door fares for this Silver Wind voyage start from £6,800 per guest, based on two sharing, while Port-to-Port fares start from £5,250 per guest.
