Struthers has worked for Cunard, leading brand development, marketing, PR and events and trade relations in the UK and across EMEA, since 2013.

He will finish his current vice-president global marketing and EMEA sales role this summer following the launch of Queen Anne, the first Cunard vessel in 14 years.

Cunard president Katie McAlister hailed Struthers for his work. “Angus has been at the heart of the Cunard brand evolution and commercial growth over the last decade overseeing Queen Mary 2’s ‘Remastering’, the launch of Cunard’s Event Voyage programme, spectacular celebrations for our 175th anniversary in Liverpool and of course the exciting imminent arrival of our first new ship in 14 years, Queen Anne,” she said.

“We’re seeing our strongest booking results in a decade and as the brand goes from strength to strength, I’d like to thank Angus for the incredible contribution and passion he’s showed for the brand.”

Struthers added: “Cunard is an incredible brand and I look back with much pride at the many successes we’ve achieved, but after nearly 11 years and once we’ve seen the magnificent Queen Anne named, I feel it is the right time to find my next exciting career opportunity.”

Last year, Struthers told TTG agents would be "more important than ever" as the line looks to fill the extra 44% capacity set to be created by Queen Anne.

He said: "It’s our job to make sure [agents] are equipped and understand where the ships are sailing."
