Carrier head of product and commercial and Simon Jeffries has revealed he will "part ways" with the operator in the coming weeks after "seven wonderful years", and is looking for new opportunities in travel.
Jeffries joined Carrier in November 2017 after a spell with Shearings as its product director. Prior to that, he worked for more than 10 years for both Travel Counsellors and Cresta Holidays in product roles.
He announced his impending departure from Carrier Luxury Holidays in a post to LinkedIn on Wednesday (29 May) following a period of "record sales growth" and "record company performance".
"In a few weeks, I’ll be parting ways with Carrier Luxury Holidays after nearly seven wonderful years," he said.
"So many partnerships have morphed into friendships and, while the odd lockdown wasn’t part of the script, it has all contributed to a period of significant personal growth, understanding of luxury product and, importantly, the luxury customer.
"I move on with happy memories, having been extremely fortunate to see the places I’ve seen and meet the people I’ve met. With grateful thanks to my colleagues and immense pride in the brilliant team I leave behind."
Jeffries added he wished to be considered for future travel roles and for friends, contacts and connections to pass on any "appropriate" opportunities.
"My experience is extensive and varied, and I know I can make a significant difference to a whole variety of businesses within the travel, tourism and hospitality sector," he said.
Carrier managing director Natasha Towey described Jeffries as a "valuable member" of the operator’s leadership team, and said she wanted thank him for his contribution and wish him success "in his next adventure".
Towey added recruitment was under way for a new head of product.
