The Chedi El Gouna hotel will open its doors on 1 December, offering 82 rooms and suites, including options for families.
The five-star Egyptian property will launch with the tagline of ‘Lean into the hush’ and a spokesperson said this was chosen to "reflect the hotel’s serenity".
"With charming character and a stunning beachfront location, complemented by The Chedi’s signature Asian aesthetics of intuitive luxury, timeless design, and contemporary cool experience, The Chedi El Gouna will be a sumptuous, eco-friendly getaway,” a spokesperson said.
Family suites are available and all rooms and suites feature an earthy colour palette and natural materials. Amenities available for guests include three pools, with a children’s splash pool with sunshade part of the offering. The hotel is situated on a 250-metre natural cove beach with umbrellas and sunbeds for guests. The Asian-influenced spa features two hammams, four private treatment rooms, two couples’ retreat rooms, and a separate relaxation space.
The resort’s four food and beverage outlets include The Restaurant, with a breakfast buffet and a la carte offering, while The Beach Bar offers loungers, daybeds and cabanas, with beverages and light bites and the rooftop offers Japanese Restaurant and The Cigar Bar.
Varied excursions will be offered by the hotel’s recreation team, including boat trips with snorkelling, diving, fishing, catamaran sailing, alongside water sports, off-road desert safaris, and horseback riding.
The hotel is operated by Orascom Hotels Management, the hotel management arm of Orascom Development.
