A £12 million renovation of the Grand Hotel Hof Ragaz is underway at the Swiss wellbeing and medical health resort Grand Resort Bad Ragaz, which is due to be completed by the end of May 2023.
All 109 rooms at the Grand Hotel Hof Ragaz will be renovated, and all other areas of Grand Resort Bad Ragaz will remain open. It follows the previous renovation of Grand Hotel Hof Ragaz in 2009, and a spokesperson said it will “focus on blending traditional design with contemporary flair, whilst ensuring the old charm and glamour of the grande dame is preserved.”
Marco R. Zanolari, chairman of the executive board of Grand Resort Bad Ragaz AG, said: "We want to strengthen the resort as the ‘heart of Heidiland’ and create an all-encompassing experience. By constantly developing the resort, we will remain competitive both nationally and internationally, whilst also creating added value for the region - as both an employer and as a source of tourism".
The Grand Resort Bad Ragaz luxury resort includes two five-star hotels, a casino, a 36-hole golf course, a spa and wellness centre and medical centre. The seven restaurants boast six Michelin stars between them.
