The Montenotte in Cork has revealed its new Woodland Suite Experience

With so many luxury hotels on the scene and more opening by the day, it’s no wonder agents can feel a little overwhelmed by all the newcomers.

To make things a little easier, we bring you a snappy weekly top five round-up of some properties that have caught our eye at TTG Luxury, wading through the news so you don’t have to.

Whether it’s a boutique hotel in St Tropez or a South Carolina summer house, our lineup will always be varied, global, and of course, unapologetically five-star.

Hopefully, it will give you the inspiration you need to share with clients, make that perfect booking – or maybe even sample for yourself.

Arev St Tropez
Arev St Tropez's eclectic personality is seen across its 50 guest room and suites

1. Arev St Tropez, France

If you know clients prefer smaller resorts and non-chain hotels in busy Cote d’Azur, look no further than the newly-opened Arev Tropez. Located just a five minute walk from Saint Tropez village, this boutique property is the perfect choice for luxury travellers who value bespoke interiors and unique experiences. The hotel boasts just 50 individually-designed rooms and suites, many of which have their own private gardens or terraces, as well as a sunlit hangout spot with a retro food truck and in-house DJ.

Its avant-garde style continues into the spa, where guests can enjoy treatments including LED light therapy and a “warm shell” body massage. We like! There’s also a paddle court and an outdoor pool for keeping active, along with a Mediterranean restaurant and two bars for recharging after a busy day.

 Mykonos Casa Cook

2. Casa Cook Mykonos, Greece

Casa Cook Mykonos is another gem to make our Top 5 list as we move into sunny August, and with good reason. Offering its unique take on bohemian luxury style, the hotel has just 26 rooms and suites.

Great for couples or friends, this adults-only Mr. and Mrs. Smith property pitches up as a retreat from the chaos of the Greek party island without being too far from the action. Guests can expect Aegean sea views, minimalist architecture and earthy textiles. There’s also an outdoor pool, a fully-equipped gym, spa treatments upon request and a restaurant serving up Greek meze. If clients are concerned about nightlife noise, they needn’t be, as every room features soundproof windows to ensure undisrupted rest – whether they’ve been out on the town or not.

3. The Dunlin, South Carolina

If your clients have already covered the US’s well trodden paths and are looking for somewhere new to try, this one is worth a look.

Part of Auberge Resorts, The Dunlin has recently opened its doors, and if you ask us – it’s absolutely charming. Designed to look like a Southern summer home, this South Carolina property on the Charleston coastline has 72 rooms and suites, as well as accessible guesthouses with features like visual fire alarms and adapted bathrooms.

The Dunlin’s long menu of experiences, most of which take place on its 2,000 acres of grassland and river, is where the property really shines. Moonlit paddling, kayaking, fishing, salt marsh excursions are just some of the activities on offer. There’s also a spa and a swim club, as well a fitness studio which regularly hosts master instructors.

4. Four Seasons Hotel Osaka, Japan

Four Seasons Hotel Osaka has just landed, marking the luxury hotel group’s fourth location in Japan.

Created in the bustling Dojima district of the city, this high-rise property offers 154 guest rooms and suites across its 29th to 35th floors. Four Seasons fans can expect the brand’s signature hospitality, with modern Japanese design features, including low-slung seating, sliding doors and tatami mat flooring.

The hotel also boasts a dedicated Gensui floor, which delivers a contemporary ryokan experience, and authentic amenities like yukatas (cotton kimonos) and a bathing stool in the shower (a staple in Japanese bathroom design).

5. The Montenotte Hotel’s Woodland Suites, Ireland

The Montenotte has officially launched its Woodland Suite Experience, giving guests the perfect opportunity to experience the hilltop location of the Cork hotel.

The addition includes nine new outdoor suites, five of which are nestled deep within the resort’s leafy landscape to create a luxurious treehouse vibe. The remaining four suites, which are equally minimalistic in interior design, overlook the River Lee that flows through the city, and are surrounded by Irish wildflowers.

There’s also a residents-only Clubhouse, where Woodland Suite guests – who also have full access to The Montenotte’s Bellevue Spa – can unwind to views of the Irish city’s views.
