Our top five luxury hotels of the week returns again, and as per usual, it’s an eclectic line-up.

This Wednesday, we highlight Malta’s only Relais and Chateaux property, which happens to be a former medieval palace, before jetting to Italy to visit a Milanese residence that also offers hotel amenities. Meanwhile in Asia, Mandarin Oriental has opened its second hotel in Beijing, as Avani expands in Thailand with the launch of its third Bangkok property. If you’re looking for something with slightly less jet-lag, Dubai continues to reign in the Middle Eastern luxury space with the arrival of yet another seafront resort.

We hope this roundup will give you the inspiration to make that special booking for your client – or maybe even yourself.
