Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, A Belmond Train, has unveiled its first European journeys during December, travelling to Florence, Paris, Venice and Vienna.
The train made its inaugural journey in 1982 and traditionally visits European cities between March and November. On its new winter itineraries it will call at cities famed for their festive markets, including Paris, Venice, Florence and Vienna.
The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express will travel from Venice to Paris on 2 and 12 December, calling at Florence. The Paris to Vienna journey will be on 17 December, with the return trip on 18 December. It will then travel from Paris to Venice on 20 December, via Florence.
Chef Jean Imbert will serve winter-inspired seasonal menus in the dining cars, and Bar Car 3674 will offer cocktails and a pianist.
The train is made up of 17 original 1920s and 1930s carriages, offering Historic Cabins and six Grand Suites.
From June 2023, eight new Suites will join the two pre-existing cabin categories, with a private marble ensuite bathroom.
Prices for a one night journey aboard start from £2,920pp.
