Virtuoso’s Elsa Bacry appointed Hummingbird business development director
Hummingbird Travel has appointed Elsa Bacry its new business development director for Europe and Latin America.
Bacry joins from Virtuoso where she headed up EMEA member partnerships. She has previously held senior sales roles with Kerzner and Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
In her new role at Indian Ocean DMC and wholesaler Hummingbird, she will be tasked with developing and implementing sales strategies designed to target new clients and opportunities.
Hummingbird chief executive Alex Chambers said he was thrilled to welcome Bacry and had every confidence she would be a great fit for the business and the role.
"Her knowledge of the luxury segment is a huge asset and her well-rounded experience working for a consortia, hotels brands, tour operators and DMCs will, I am sure, prove invaluable in not only growing the business but also crucially maintaining relationships," said Chambers.
