Wilderness Safaris has relaunched its Vumbura Plains camp following an extensive upgrade.
The camp, located in the heart of the Okavango Delta World Heritage Site in Botswana, has seen a refurbishment of interior and exterior areas, with new patterns, textures and colours that reflect the surrounding wilderness and new larger windows and doors in suites to maximise views onto the Delta.
There is also a revitalised menu, putting a greater focus on local produce and flavours, and working in partnership with local farmers and artisans to reduce food miles and to provide neighbouring communities with an alternative income.
Kim Nixon, managing director of Wilderness Safaris Botswana, said: “Vumbura epitomises the serene beauty and year-round wildlife diversity of this iconic Delta destination, and I have no doubt that the rejuvenated camp will continue to delight guests and deliver life-changing journeys in this remarkable wilderness area – carefully conserved for over two decades.”
Wilderness Safaris operates camps and safaris across seven countries: Botswana, Kenya, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
